Planning approved for The Edge Hotel

We are truly delighted to share the news that after two and a half years we have won our appeal for a new 38-bedroom hotel, in place of the former 'Victoria Hotel',  on the Abingdon Road in Oxford – ‘The Edge Hotel’.

 

The Edge Hotel will be a two and a half storey contemporary and ultra-energy efficient hotel, meeting Oxford City Council’s requirement for the scheme to meet BREEAM ‘Excellent’.

In the words of the appeal inspector: “The development proposed would make more efficient use of a sustainable brownfield site with the development of a highly sustainable new building to provide much needed short stay accommodation.”

We hope to commence work on site towards the end of next year and we look forward to seeing this dilapidated site regenerated to become a beneficial asset to the local area.
